Every design begins in the Netherlands, where Willemijn sketches simple, playful shapes inspired by everyday moments. She selects a small, thoughtful color palette that gives each design its distinct personality.
The designs then travel to Istanbul, where talented artisan Büşra brings them to life through precise, thoughtful tufting. Each piece is woven on a 100% cotton base fabric using premium acrylic yarn, chosen for its rich color, durability, and soft, inviting touch. Every detail is carved, sculpted, and refined by hand, giving each artwork its own tactile character.
Once complete, the work returns to Rotterdam, where a master framer with more than 50 years of experience creates a custom wooden frame, transforming the textile into a contemporary art object ready for its new home.
